Rare Burr Satin-Birch Bureau with Pewter Inlay Poss. Coxed & Woster c.1720A rare and highly unusual Burr Satin Birch Veneered Bureau Bookcase c. 1720 with ebony banding and inlaid pewter detailing. Possibly by Coxed & Woster. The upper section has a moulded and ebonised top with a pair of bevelled mirror panel doors edged which enclose adjustable shelves. The bureau is in two sections: the top section has a sloped fall front with opening book ledge, when open it sits on slide out side lopers above a double drawer facade.
