Salt Lake Aerial, Great Southern, Western AustraliaThe salt lakes around Cranbrook come in all shapes and colours. From rich reds and pinks to greens and yellows, they make amazing abstract images when shot from the air. This photograph was a large lake about 10kms north of town. The bright red colour is produced by algae, the blues are actually the colour of the mud under the white layer of salt. I love to make these types of images, they are more abstract art than landscapes.
