Nocturne, Skellig Michael Lighthouse, Co. KerryGetting down to the lighthouse on Skellig Michael involves a descent that makes you very aware of your knees. The dry stone walls on either side are thick with moss and sea pinks, and the path switches back and forth steeply enough that you lose sight of the buildings more than once on the way down.
